Todd &
Louise Dickson
The
Dickson’s are members of three local dance clubs. Louise, a professor of English and Humanities at Northeast State,
has taught dance professionally for more than 20 years and she is the choreographer, producer, and co-director of Kingsport’s
ShowTime Productions. Todd, a chemist at Eastman, has performed with Louise in ShowTime for 18 years. The Dickson’s enjoy social dancing and
traveling across the southeast attending Dance Events and participating in Dance classes taught by award-winning Dance instructors.
Todd and Louise have a private dance studio in their
home located on Country Drive in Kingsport. The studio has beautiful hardwood floors, and a state of the art variable speed
sound system designed for dance instruction. In addition to teaching Shag Dance Lessons, the Dickson’s teach Dance Fitness, Social Dancing, and they Choreograph
Wedding Dances for brides, grooms, and wedding party members.
As a college professor
with a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and expertise in adult and lifelong learning, Louise recognizes the
significance of the wedding event and the importance of being prepared for the wedding dance.
Todd, a Ph.D. Chemist by profession,
is a dance enthusiast by choice. Louise and Todd love to dance socially… it is their favorite activity –they
belong to several dance clubs and enjoy all styles of music and dancing – waltz, swing, shag, polka, cha cha, contra,
and etc.
When teaching
dance, Louise usually does the main teaching and choreography, and Todd assists with the teaching and demonstrations. Todd
is very helpful with dance advice for male partner leads and especially for the groom and father of the bride.
Todd and Louise enjoy working with
Children, Teens, Adults, and Senior Adults for Dance Workshops, Dance Classes, and Wedding Dance Sessions, plus they
enjoy their dancing and continuing their education as dance enthusiasts.
